Behind The Scenes

Please read below for a few important notes from the designer

All jewelry is crafted of solid sterling silver, meaning it is not simply plated on the surface. “Pure” silver is 99.9 percent pure; however it is especially soft and is not practical for common jewelry. Silver must be at least 92.5 percent pure (ADI 925) to be labeled “sterling.”

The Open Door is marked STER.

The intricate detail is molded into the metal providing superior durability compared to etched or stamped jewelry designs.

The jewelry on this website is made in the United States of America!

It’s manufactured in Michigan and it’s hand assembled, by me, in Georgia. So you can feel good about supporting a small, home based business.

Each item of jewelry is carefully packed in a protective, tarnish resistant, sealed bag to ensure that it arrives to you in pristine condition.

Presentation is important to me. Whether this is a purchased for yourself or for someone else, you’ll know you’ve received something special. Each piece of jewelry comes in a beautiful gift box with a silver image of the Open Door on the lid. Inside each box, you’ll find a full-color insert card describing the symbol and accompanied by scripture.

I ship each order with two free gifts: a full-color bookmark printed on heavy card-stock, and a full-color magnet.

It’s my hope that you can use them or share them.

Store your silver jewelry in a cool, dry place. The more moist the climate, the faster it tarnishes. Store it in an individual, small plastic sealed ziplock bag.

Tarnish occurs when sterling silver reacts with oxygen in the air to form silver oxide on the surface. Other factors that cause tarnish are exposure to humidity, sulphur, certain acids and cosmetics such as lotions, perfume etc.

Do not wear your silver jewelry while cleaning, showering, or swimming. Chemicals such as ammonia, bleach and chlorine in water could cause tarnishing. Before returning your silver jewelry to storage, wipe and clean it with a soft cotton cloth or a professional jewelry polishing cloth.

The Open Door stone accent pendant features a Cubic Zirconia. I’m very proud to be able to offer this high quality diamond substitute in my jewelry.

Cubic zirconia (CZ) is a grown diamond substitute. It is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2). CZs are hard, optically flawless and usually colorless, but may be made in a variety of different colors.

Because of its low cost, durability, and close visual likeness to diamonds, synthetic cubic zirconia has remained the most gemologically and economically important competitor for diamonds.

I sincerely hope you are happy with your purchase.

If, however, you need to return your purchase, it must be shipped back to me in new and unused condition, and in the original packaging. Please indicate why you are returning it.

Please send it to me via certified mail with tracking and or delivery confirmation. This protects both you and I. Unfortunately, prior to this policy, I would occasionally have someone demand a refund after insisting they returned it to me – yet I never received it.

I will issue you a full credit, minus original shipping, upon receipt of your return of the new and unused jewelry.

I hold the legal, registered copyright for all uses of the Open Door design. Please respect this.
